NATIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

This expansive off-leash dog park draws an enthusiastic canine crowd, particularly around late afternoon when it transforms into something of a dog social club. The open space allows energetic animals to run freely across the generous grounds, though the experience comes with a significant caveat: bring industrial-strength insect repellent. Mosquitoes and sandflies descend with remarkable enthusiasm, making bug spray absolutely essential rather than optional. The facilities present a mixed picture. A playground serves families well, and parking proves straightforward. However, maintenance standards have declined noticeably, with picnic tables and toilet facilities falling into disappointing condition. Dog waste remains a persistent issue despite free bag dispensers, requiring careful attention to where one steps. The lack of shade compounds the insect problem on warm days.
